As a non-profit initiative, it is not our goal to make a huge profit, but rather to see our community impacted in genuine, positives ways. In order to make that happen, we need help from people like you. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
Donate Used Books: We will need a steady flow of books donated to keep the store going. We are especially in need of books for the children & young adult section, non-fiction (especially History, Home & Garden, Sports & Hobbies and Art). Please NO Harlequin Romance, Reader's Digest Condensed, Text Books, Magazines or Over-sized books). We do not buy or take trade on used books.
Volunteer Time: To keep the bookstore clean, in good repair and serving the community efficiently, we rely on volunteers like you. Even our full-time staff are not paid, so any time you can offer would be appreciated. Please note that not everyone wanting to volunteer will be able to serve customers, due to city codes and organization policy. However, skills from fundraising to carpentry to janitorial (to mention a few) are always needed.
Give Financially: By financially supporting this project, you allow our staff and volunteers to invest their full time and energy into serving people, allowing us to improve and expand our outreach to the community. As a registered charity, you will receive a tax deductible receipt for your gift, whether it is a one time gift or regular sponsorship (except anything under $10).
